Transport

Trains : There is an excellent train service operating from London, calling at Sudbury, Ruislip, Northolt Park, Denham, Gerrards Cross, Seer Green, Beaconsfield, Saunderton, High Wycombe and Princes Risborough. The Gerrards Cross train station is an easy seven minute's walk from the school.

Buses : St. Mary’s does not operate a school bus service. There are public bus services operating which call at Amersham, Chalfont St. Giles, Chalfont St. Peter, Slough, Stoke Poges, Uxbridge, Denham, Beaconsfield and High Wycombe. These services use a bus stop in Gerrards Cross which is outside the school gate.

Cars : St. Mary’s is located in Packhorse Road (B416) in Gerrards Cross, within five minutes of the A40 or the A413. There is a link to Google Maps on the Contact Us page of this website which shows the position of the school in detail.


Extended Daycare

Early Bird : An informal period of time, supervised by a member of staff, between 8.00 and 8.30am.

Busy Bees : Available for Junior House girls and supervised by Junior House teaching staff. Runs until 5.00pm daily. Time is spent on a variety of activities and homework may be completed during a quiet session.

Supervised Prep : Runs in Senior House from 3.45pm until 6.00pm daily; this a formal homework session staffed by Senior House teachers. This silent session may be taken up on an ad hoc basis or pre-booked.


Health

There is a dedicated sick room and the First Aid Officer is qualified under the Health & Safety at Work ruling. Several members of the teaching staff are qualified First Aiders.

St. Mary’s maintains up-to-date policies on a wide variety of topics. All school policies are available to parents on request from the school office.
